Tree removal & arborists in Officer.
Officer is one of Cardinia’s fastest-growing estate suburbs, full of young families on compact new blocks. We do the estate-friendly tree work that suits it: tight-access removals, narrow-gate stump grinding, and keeping the older boundary trees in check.
The Officer tree story.
Estate blocks, tight access.
Most of Officer is recent: the Arena, Timbertop, Brookfield and Orchard estates went up over the last fifteen years on compact 350 to 500m² blocks. The backyards are small and fenced off behind a side gate, which shapes every tree job here. There is rarely room to fell a tree whole, so removals are done by sectional dismantling, and stump grinding only works with a machine narrow enough to fit the gate. We run exactly that gear, so we can reach a stump in the back corner without dropping your fence.
The trees Officer actually has.
Two kinds. First, the developer-planted street and estate trees, now fifteen-plus years old and getting big: ornamental pears, bottlebrush, and fast gums that were planted too close to the house and are now over the roof. Second, the remnant paddock trees, old sugar gums, peppercorns and cypress wind-rows left from the farmland the estates were built on, which are large, mature and sometimes hazardous. Both are our regular work.
Young families means safety first.
Officer skews young: couples with kids under ten, trampolines and swing sets in the yard. The jobs we get asked for most are dead-wooding and crown thinning over play areas, and removing self-sown or badly-placed trees before they become a problem. We prune to AS 4373, never the harmful topping that weakens a tree, so it stays safe around the kids long term.
Typical Officer jobs.
- Removing an over-the-roof gum planted too close on an estate block ($1,200 to $3,000)
- Dead-wooding a remnant paddock gum over a play area
- Narrow-access stump grinding through a side gate
- Pruning back overgrown boundary screen trees between neighbours
- Storm callouts after a westerly brings limbs down on exposed estate edges
