Council overlays and permits.
Whether you can legally remove a tree in Pakenham depends entirely on the planning overlay on your title. Standard residential lots in central Pakenham, Officer and Cardinia Lakes often have no tree controls. But a Vegetation Protection Overlay, Environmental Significance Overlay or Significant Landscape Overlay, common on the rural and bushland blocks up in Pakenham Upper and toward the Bunyip State Park, means you need a planning permit from Cardinia Shire Council first. Removing a protected tree without one risks fines into the tens of thousands. We check your overlays before we quote and lodge the permit for you if one is needed.
Bushfire clearing rights (10/30 and 10/50).
