Nar Nar Goon and its northern reaches are a different world from the Pakenham and Officer estates. These are acreage and farming blocks with big remnant sugar gums, red gums, old cypress shelterbelts and stands of native bush. The tree work here is bigger and more varied: dangerous paddock trees near the house or shed, wind-rows that have outgrown their purpose, and whole areas of regrowth to be opened up. Plenty of room to fell trees whole where the drop zone is clear, which keeps cost down compared with a tight suburban dismantle.

Land clearing and native vegetation.

Much of the rural fringe out here is Bushfire Prone Area, so the 10/30 and 10/50 clearing rules apply, letting you reduce fuel around the house and along boundaries without a planning permit. We do this defensible-space work, plus shelterbelt thinning and dead-tree removal, every season. Big dead farm gums are a real hazard to stock, sheds and people, and a high priority to drop safely.
